A Savory Delight at Poulet, Raffles City Mall

Nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of Raffles City Mall, Poulet offers a dining experience that caters to corporate lunches, though it may lack a relaxed ambiance. Here’s a detailed review based on my recent visit:

Ambience: Poulet’s location in the heart of the mall makes it an ideal spot for quick lunches or business meetings. However, the ambiance leans towards a more bustling and lively atmosphere rather than a serene or relaxed vibe.

Set Lunch: While the set lunch options may seem pricey, the quality of the food doesn’t disappoint. I opted out of the set meal due to the processed and sugary desserts like mango pudding or pineapple panna cotta.

Signature Roast Chicken: Poulet proudly advertises their specialty in roast chicken. The roasted chicken comes with an array of sauce choices, including cranberry, mushroom, black pepper, and Diane sauce. I opted for the black pepper sauce, and it was a delightful choice.

Flavorful Delight: The roasted chicken itself was nicely done, boasting a crispy exterior while remaining tender and juicy inside. The black pepper sauce, with its spicy pepper flavor and French reduction, added an extra dimension to the dish. It wasn’t overpowering but rather complemented the chicken excellently.

Homely Touch: While the dish seems easily replicable at home, the execution at Poulet was good.

Overall Experience: The combination of perfectly roasted chicken and flavorful sauce left a good impression. The dish was not only delicious but also satisfying, leaving a pleasant peppery sensation lingering in my mouth even after the meal was over.
